Listen to the Acknowledgement of Country given by Eine Kleine Deutsche Schule student, in German and then English

Many of our community language schools begin their weekly lessons with an Acknowledgment of Country - a few words to acknowledge that the lands on which we gather are the unceded lands of Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander people, who are the custodians of the oldest living culture in the world, and we pay our respects to their Elders, past and present.

At a Hunter Community Languages event, a student from our local German community language school - Eine Kleine Deutsche Schule - delivered this heart-felt Acknowledgment of Country first in German and then in English.
