Planning: Write a Lesson Plan
Plan lessons with confidence using a clear, structured approach that has been shown to improve student engagement and learning. This course introduces a simple lesson planning template to help you structure your lessons effectively. You’ll explore:
- The Introduction – How to begin the class, for learning.
- The Lesson Body – Use Explicit Teaching techniques like I Do, We Do, You Do - model learning effectively, scaffold practice, and provide opportunities for independent work.
- The Close – Reinforce learning with Explicit Teaching strategies and the Exit Card technique.
Throughout the course, you’ll watch live professional development (PD) sessions, where I demonstrate these tried-and-tested techniques to Community Language School (CLS) teachers, showing you practical strategies that make a real difference in student learning.
